What We Do

We provide schools with critical developmental components that shore up the foundation of learning for each student which increases grades, attendance, behavior, and state test scores. 

The Parachute Effect significantly increases students’ ability to receive and store the information you are teaching. We provide specially designed activities that raise the brain’s ability to absorb information, process it in short-term memory, store the information efficiently in long-term memory, and analyze and evaluate with critical thinking to formulate ideas.

The Parachute Effect stimulates the brain’s neuroplasticity–strengthening and growing brain pathways. Our program also includes activities that meet IEP minutes for those in Special Education, while tracking and reporting required data.

The Parachute Effect

In just a few minutes of unique activities at the beginning of each class our program restores and changes the foundation of students’ brains! Because of factors like Covid, social/emotional pressures, heightened anxiety, and sweeping cultural changes students’ learning abilities have been compromised. The Parachute Effect was designed to counter the unfortunate delays in reading, writing, math, and behavior.  Our school wide approach allows students to recover academic knowledge and improve self-regulation.

Bedell BOOST

Take the stress out of fulfilling Dyslexia and SLD mandates for reading, and math while also increasing STAAR scores! The Bedell Boost is the specific intervention program that addresses the ever-growing population of students being referred for Special Education with Specific Learning Disabilities. We provide trained specialists and curriculum for reading, dyslexia, and math pull-outs that produce the brain changes needed to affect positive growth in these areas. Our unique approach to Dyslexia yields accelerated performance which often renders one year of academic progress every 4 to 6 months.  See Our Results Below.

The Parachute Effect’s neurodevelopmental activities have been successfully used for over 30-years. Dyslexia

Not only did students experience progress in Dyslexia, but more specifically, significant progress in reading recognition, reading comprehension, and mathematics.

ADD/ADHD

Students experienced progress with focus, attention and related symptoms of ADD/ADHD, in addition to advancements in reading recognition, reading comprehension, and mathematics.

Specific Learning Disabilities

Students with a variety of Specific Learning Disabilities experienced significant progress in reading recognition, reading comprehension, and mathematics.

All students from K through 8th-grade benefit from The Parachute Effect’s schoolwide approach. The Bedell BOOSTs’ direct reading, dyslexia, and math intervention serves students 2nd through 8th grade.

Why It Works

The Parachute Effect with the Bedell Boost builds the student’s ability to receive, process, and store information which is the infrastructure needed to use what is already being taught in the classroom. Our specialized components ensure academic growth schoolwide, and has the added benefit of helping schools stay IEP compliant in the area of Special Education.
